I really wanted to like this game...
I am a huge Downton Abbey fan and a big board gamer so I was really looking forward to this game. Unfortunately, it has a number of issues...In Regards to Game Play:-game play is quick, but we went many turns in a row where none of us could capture moments.-both the rules and the how-to-play video are vague about how the Royal Servants work.In Regards to Design:-The idea of suits is cool, but Put the Suits in the Upper Corner of the Cards!-The designs of the suits should be simplified for how small they are (The tea pot is too detailed for how small it is, it is difficult to tell that it is a tea pot).-I wish that each character card had a different quote from that character (instead of each copy of the Carson card having the same quote on it).-The Art Deco backgrounds are cool, but are too busy.In Regards to Construction:-The game comes with a roll-up mat, which is typically an upgrade for a game, but I wish had come with a board that would lay flat.-It also comes with a vac-tray for holding the cards and the mat, but if you store this game on its side (like many of us do) all of the cards fall out of the tray.-The cards are a pretty cheap card stock, and I wish that they were printed on a nicer linen card.If you LOVE DA go ahead and get this game. If you love DA and you are into strategy games, play Obsession. If you love DA and are into casual games, play Love Letter.

Based on the first Downton Abbey film, it is a card game with the object of being able to pick up cards worth points using combinations of the cards in your hand. Each card has images from the film and quotes by the characters. My only complaint is that the "suits" on the cards are shown by symbols that are not very large or dark so they are hard to see.
