I was very pleased with this game. The mechanics are interesting. I want to explain it as Rock/Paper/Scissors on steroids, but I actually thing that would be underselling it. You do have to sit there and think about what tactics your opponents might be playing and play your own carefully. The artwork in this game is beautiful.
I did have a few complaints, most of which are pretty minor.
1. The game presents Titanium as a rare resource and a recent discovery. I wish they had invented a name instead of reusing Titanium. 2. The money that is used is really small and kinda flimsy. Probably made out of the same stuff as Monopoly money. I wish it were a little more durable, since you're gaining and spending it fast. 3. To continue with what the other reviewer here said, I definitely had some problems with cards sticking together. In the whole pile of probably several hundreds cards, maybe eight of them had sticking problems. A little work gets them apart with little trouble, but on probably two of my cards, I saw a little bit of the ink come off. It did take a little wear and tear. If you're the kind of person who puts all of your cards in plastic to protect them, this might be a deal breaker. I didn't worry too much about it though, because I knew after a few plays, cards tend to get wear and tear like that anyway. I'm sure after I finish this review, I won't think much about this problem in the future.
It's really a great game, but I'm giving it 4 stars because of those problems.
I'm having a lot of fun with this. IELLO is a great game company. Its a competitive card strategy game. Everyone has a homeworld and captain and you buy ships/upgrades/buildings and then every turn battle over a planet. The planets rotate with special extras and cause special events. Not an extremely difficult or complicated game but it does require a good amount of strategy to play well.
