Arcadia Quest is an exciting new adventure board game for 2 to 4 players created by a quartet of designers, including Mr. Eric Lang. Each player controls a Guild of 3 Heroes, competing to be the liberators of the city of Arcadia and, more importantly, to become the richest and most powerful Guild in the land!
Arcadia Quest is a game that combines PvE and PvP gameplay, as players battle not only the monsters that populate the board, but also the heroes controlled by other players. The monsters react to the players'' actions, so there is no need for one player to be stuck with the role of "game master", everybody gets to play as heroes.
The game is played through the multiple scenarios that make up a campaign. Players can choose the path their campaign takes, ensuring that no two playthroughs are ever the same. As their heroes defeat enemies and accomplish quests, they get new weapons, loot and abilities that will make them gradually more powerful and resourceful!

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 March 2015Very fun game, took about an hour to grasp the rules but was worth it. The pvp and pve side work perfectly. Many times, when playing, two players would form "alliances" because one person killed them, only for the alliance to fall apart quickly afterwards. This is due to the simple fact that alliances don't work for very long because you cant balance the rewards without taking huge risks or by intentionally slowing yourself down (which just enables the person you are crippling to keep progressing anyway).
The objectives change every "scenario" as well and it looks to be a very clever game with many possibilities where you can make up your own scenarios if you are so inclined.
Definately recommend, Be warned tho, the game actually takes up a lot more space that you realise. We ended up playing on the floor.

Great minis, simple mechanics, varied scenarios, not overly complicated, in fact you can teach the rules in about 10 minutes. My wife is playing through the campaign and kicking my butt 3 - 0 so far....Sorry this a repeat of my review for the expansion. same applies.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 December 2016Get a big table, pour couple of drinks, steal wifes kill and then gank one of her heroes. Call a divorce lawyer. And then do it all over again the time. Fun as a 2 player game.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 August 2017Awesome game! And so many expansions so it just keeps getting more interesting.
Bought this for my boyfriend's birthday and he loves it (played it before). Arrived well before the estimate too.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 November 2017Was suspicious about the low price of this new game but took a gamble. Game was indeed new in shrink but had a damaged box. The contents were undamaged and the savings were well worth the damaged box (even though I hate damaged game boxes!). Cheers!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 October 2015Great game, hours of fun and can be enjoyed many times without expansions. I have just finishing playing through the campaign with my 9 year olds and they loved it (my daughter won).

5.0 out of 5 stars Best game ever
Best game ever, so far. I did not expect my wife to like it as much as she does, she even stopped complaining about how much I spent on it. I have yet to play it with someone who does not love it. We played it much more than I actually expected to. When my wife and I are bored, rather than vegging out on the couch watching TV we play this game. The quality of the miniatures are excellent and the game play is so much fun you forget about the long set-up. Setting up the scenarios is the only problem, but that is only when you first do it. After a couple of scenarios you get a system down and you are looking forward to the game so much you don't think about how much work it is to set up. At least that has been my experience. I don't think I can recommend this game enough. I am looking forward to getting the expansion Beyond the Grave next month, and Arcadia Quest: Inferno (hopefully in October).
Anyone worried about not getting enough since missing out on the Kickstarter and all the Kickstarter exclusives, don't. In my opinion they (the Kickstarter exclusive characters) would be awesome to have, but this game is amazing as is.

5.0 out of 5 stars Podría convertirse en mi juego favorito

Arcadia Quest is a fun dungeon crawling game that has players going against the board and each other. At the start of the game, players, two to four, are given three characters to play through a campaign or stand alone adventure. A campaign is six scenarios which are made up of the games eleven scenarios that it comes with in the game. Each scenario will ask players to complete three objectives which two are driven by the scenario and a standard eliminate the other players. The first player to complete either the two objective scenarios with one eliminated player character, or two player character eliminations and one objective scenario will win that current scenario.
This leads to what makes the game fun is that a player is never out of the running if they have one of their characters defeated. If they are eliminated by the enemies of the board, or fellow players, they can return by doing a simple rest action. That is the great mechanic of this game. Every time a player does an attack with one of their three characters they will have to place an exhaust token on that weapon. Eventually a player will no longer be able to do something and will need to rest. This gives a lot of strategy and timing that a player needs to consider on their turns.
Combat itself is rolling dice, which is defined by being a range, bows, or close range attack, swords. Special equipment can add a little more to what a player can do, but it is still just rolling dice against enemies/players. When combating an enemy from the board a player chooses who they are using for their turn and activating a weapon for attack. That weapon dictates the amount of dice used, are they wanting swords or bows, and whatever other special power the player may have of that particular character. They then simply roll the attack trying to match or exceed an enemies health. This leads to another great effect in the game as enemies have an overkill rating. The overkill rating is the amount of success that needs to be rolled to avoid a retaliation attack. If a player does not hit that value the enemy gets to attack that player back, even if the player managed to eliminate the enemy. Players do not get the same counter attack when targeted by a player, but they can roll defense against a player's attack. Combat is fun, fast, and easy to learn.
At the end of each scenario the players will tally up the amount of gold they earned from completing quests, being the first to complete a quest, and eliminating enemies/players. Then a drafting round will occur that gives players a chance to improve their characters for the next round. Someone would consider that this is the moment where the game will fall apart as the player with the most money will win the game, that is not true. Players are limited to only being able to buy three things. The items available to purchase are strong, but some can also be really cheap for players with little money to purchase. Yes, there are expansive powerful items, but never so much that it will make someone think the next round is going to that player. Also, since it is drafting, six cards dealt to each player as they pick two and pass the rest, players are able to choose to keep the most powerful item cards out of the other players hands by drafting that card, since that player can afford it.
This series has fantastic miniatures to immerse anyone into the game, and plenty of expansions to keep players interested if they really fall in love with the series. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a dungeon crawler that is not co-operative, nice amount of dice chucking, and a fantastic amount of replay value.

5.0 out of 5 stars D&D Lite
Great game! I liked it so much I backed Arcadia Quest Inferno when that was up (and that was totally worth it for the extra goodies you could buy for this game).
The miniatures are excellent quality and all the character designs are great - a chunk of them are even not-so-subtle references to well known characters.
This game is good for those looking for a light D&D type experience - the rules for combat are simple and a single game can be completed in an hour (not including setup).
Recommend having all 4 players willing to commit to 6 games (a full campaign).
