Product Description

In Palm Island, one or two players try to collect as many resources as possible, expand buildings and earn points or prepare the village for disaster. In every round of the game, decisions are made that change the island village sustainably. Since the card game is only played in hand, it can be played virtually anywhere. There are also two game variants: either you try solo to set up a new high score and unlock achievements or cooperatively prepare for an approaching disaster. Contents: 50xcards, 1xinstructions

      War auf der Suche nach einem 1-Spieler-Kartenspiel, was
      - sowohl beim Spielen wie auch Mitnehmen nur wenig Platz braucht
      - zwischendurch ein wenig Zeit rumbringt
      - ein Mindestmaß an Strategie erfordert
      - natürlich etwas Spaß macht und
      - eine 2-Spieler-Option bietet
      Das habe ich hier mit Palm Island gefunden.

      Ist aus meiner Sicht ein gelungenes Spiel, was ca. 15-20 min je Solo-Runde rumbringt, in denen man mal von Smartphone und PC wegkommt. Die Karten sind schön klein, die Anleitung umfassend und verständlich und alles gut verarbeitet.

      Bonus ist, dass
      - es wie in Videospielen freispielbare Errungenschaften als Herausforderung gibt, die man sich ins Deck tun darf, sobald die Bedingungen geschafft sind
      - man aufgrund des Spielablaufs problemlos jederzeit pausieren und genau da weitermachen kann

      Aus meiner Sicht ist Palm Island den aufgerufenen Preis von ein paar Euro also durchaus wert.
      Wird im nächsten Urlaub auf jeden Fall dabei sein und bis dahin noch einige Stunden am Küchentisch gequält.

      It’s in German but this doesn’t matter for the cards. Just go in the website and download the rules in English and you have the game. I took this to a kids party I got dragged along to and it was great for passing the time while the kids played.
