      What a fun brilliant idea!

Today I grabbed 3 other friends to finally play Crusoe Crew and we had a great time! It was fun doing the different voices for all the different characters (not necessary) and solving clues and puzzles together. The art was cute are charming and brought smiles to our faces; There was even an inspector gadget reference thrown in! I loved going from place to place paying close attention to the art to find secret treasures or numbers hidden in different panels. Although my favorite things were the puzzles themselves, felt like we were playing a choose your own adventure escape room!

Some adjustments I would recommend while playing:
There were times where one of us would get stuck in a room and it encouraged us to communicate to one another by describing in painstaking detail 30 objects and their locations. We ultimately made it a house rule that if they're telling us to describe something and it would inhibit our enjoyment of the game, but not hurt the puzzle complexity, just show each other the books and try to solve the puzzle from there. We ended up doing this multiple times and that really helped us a lot. (The point of this is to have fun, right?)

We also definitely spent more than 45 minutes on the first game, so plan properly (or read faster)

Pro Tip: If you're playing with less than 4 players, always play with Gabby, followed by Sarah. We found these two to be especially fun characters, since the animals gave helpful clues and tips, and Gabby sees things that without her, solving puzzles would have been almost impossible.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pick-a-path and Escape room feel. Fun! Kids love it!
Reviewed in Canada on February 3, 2020
It has an escape room like feeling combined with pick a path designed with children and adults in mind. It starts right away with a puzzle, which took me by surprise and I was a little confused. Puzzles are challenging but optional. One of them seem a little finicky or perhaps not clear on how they work or if they could really work the way they are intended. You are never trapped when you cannot complete one, it just reduces your score or shortens your adventure. Playing this with children is simply marvellous but some children can become anxious when they are sidelined by puzzles beyond them or if they feel there character is not contributing. It is fun for adults too but much more fun when you play it with your children. It has a good amount of replay but eventually we will learn it all. I would definitely considering buying another game designed in a similar way.
