    Ragnarök, the cataclysmic event that will destroy the world, is coming. The Norns gaze into the well of Fate to find a way to stop it.

    The swirling waters allow them to play through different scenarios of heroes, quests, victories, and defeats.

    Gameplay

    Play as characters like Kratos, Mimir, Atreus and Freya, each with their own unique starting deck and special abilities. The decks are customised as the game advances.

    Players must work together to complete the Quests. Each Quest has different win conditions players must figure out so they can overcome it.

    Using their custom deck of cards, they'll fight through three Quests, represented by a mosaic of cards. They must work together, attacking different locations of the mosaic.

      Enjoying this: great board where the card you flip triggers events and the board changes. But only buy if you're prepared to put in some work with the rules and are happy to live with rule ambiguities.

      I would suggest using Scenario 1, the Travelers, to make your mistakes. Then play it through again til you feel confident about the rules. Otherwise you will run through the very small number of scenarios without getting their full value.

      If you are new to deck-builders, I wouldn't recommend this. But if you can bring previous experience with other deck-builders to this game, I think you will have a blast!

      The game sports a bit of a learning curve. You're bound to make mistakes on your first run, but it's fun regardless. The gameplay reminded me of Dungeons and Dragons, having some similar mechanics while still being different and unique.
      All the cards are printed with beautiful artwork.
      I like that it can be played alone, or co-operatively with other players. Would recommend playing with a friend or two.
      My only complaint is that there's no other sets to bolster the variety of characters and scenarios. Wishing for more is a good issue to have in my book, as it speaks volumes about just how enjoyable this game is.

      On the other hand, my friends who are fans of Gow really liked it.

      This game is really good! I'm a fan of cooperative games (not having to teach it to a new player, then beat them). I would suggest a couple "learn to play" videos. My one complaint is that the rule book doesn't really teach it that well. There's also a good faq on Board Game Geek. I got it on-sale for $16. For that price it was def worth it! 5 characters and 10 different "scenes" make it really re-playable. I bought it because my daughter's boyfriend loves Kratos and God of War. I wasn't famaliar with it but it looked good. Def worth having on the shelf 👍

      My boyfriend and I are avid boardgamers, so strategic games with hefty rule books do not scare us at all. We are also familiar with the God of War franchise and consider ourselves fans. That being said, it took us 2 hours just to figure out how to setup and play this game. By the time we got the hang of it, we were too burnt out to play a game to completion, giving up halfway through. The game as they want you to play it is LONG.

      Now that we know what we're doing, we've tried again and it's much more fun. I like this game, but it's not very teachable and playing 2-player seems to be the most difficult. This is not a party game, or a casual board game, but if you like a challenge, it's a good quality game with unique mechanics.
