Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I’ve only played this game a few times with some friends, but every time we play we always come out of it with a funny story and memorable moments created by this game. The freedom you have without the information and play-system being overwhelming is the most amazing thing about the game. Truly a staple for nights where we want to roleplay but don’t have a DND campaign ready.
I've played this a few times since we've had it. My wife and I are the only ones who listened to TAZ out of our friend group. But none the less we always seem to have a great time, making up great moments in-game! I collect board games, I have plenty of stuff we could be playing. But with that being said, this still finds its way into our rotation, and it's for good reason! Not a bad price at all for a game in this style, it is absolutely a great addition to any collection!
I'm a big TAZ fan and was excited to play this after seeing it at PAX Unplugged. However, the instructions are not thorough enough and I did have to watch the video they link you to. I've only played the two player version and I must say that although the cards are funny, the gameplay itself was too easy, almost bordering on boring. I'm going to try and make it more challenging by eliminating some aspects of the game like maybe the surprise cards or the action tokens, but i really shouldn't have to do that. Wouldn't recommend for two players.
This is not a board game, it is a Dungeons & Dragons Starter set, perfect for families/friend groups who are well versed in D&D and love The Adventure Zone. Not so great for regular gameplay if you don't have a person willing to play a confident Dungeon Master role in moving the story. The rules are lax, confusing, and incomplete, at least in the copy I received. I had several pieces with no explanation of what they were or what to use them for. Still a cool keepsake or addition to a Homebrew campaign if someone wanted to do a TAZ themed arc, but definitely not worth the $80 I paid for the limited edition. Cool idea, but poorly executed.
