- Test your trivia on the following topics: The Dark Arts, Hogwarts, Magical Spells and Potions, Magical Objects, Magical People, and Animals and Magical Creatures
- To win, be the first player to collect six cards
- Players will have different levels of detail in their knowledge of the world of Harry Potter. Use your discretion when answering questions as to how much detail is needed to be considered correct

How to Play
Place the cards in the holder with the question side facing forwards.
Choose a player to go first; play continues clockwise.
On your turn roll the die to decide a category colour. Another player takes the front card and reads you the question from that category.
If you answer correctly, the card goes to the back of the deck but you roll the die again to go for a WEDGE question.
This time if you answer the question correctly, you keep the card.
To win another card, you must correctly answer a question on a new card, and then correctly answer the WEDGE question on the next card. Keep going until you get an answer wrong. This ends your turn.
If a player collects six cards on his or her very first turn, the remaining players may try to equal this feat and force the game to end in a draw.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 1, 2019Color: Harry PotterStyle: SingleVerified PurchaseI bought this version for my daughter and her husband. Our family always plays trivial persuit when we get together for holidays. Knowing how much they loved the Harry Potter movies I thought they might enjoy it and I was right! Big hit!

- Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2018Color: Harry PotterStyle: SingleI looked at this and thought I was getting a whole game, but it doesn't come with a board. If you read the description, it mentions there isn't a board so I guess that part is fine. Previous reviews state that people paid more than $30, which sucks for them. The price was like $19.99 by the time I got here, but I don't feel like this could be worth more than $15. It's more like an extension pack of a game than the game itself. What weirds me out is that it doesn't come with the square cardboard box pictured, but instead with a triangular shaped white box, and the gold plastic box inside is just shrink-wrapped. No stickers or indications to show that this is a new product, so I feel like it could be refurbished or maybe even bootleg, but it's hard to tell. The sticker on the top of the plastic box is off by a few millimeters, but stuff happens. Inside the box there is only a colored die and a deck of cards. Nowhere to be found is a set of game instructions.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 3, 2018Color: Harry PotterStyle: SingleVerified PurchaseIt's not that I actually hate the game, but the high price I paid for so little. $35.00 for a plastic box, some question / answer cards, a plastic dice and a plastic disc. I seriously doubt it cost the maker a dollar to produce. If I hadn't thrown out the packaging, I would have returned it for a refund. Nowhere in the product description does it state it's really just an add on to an earlier game. This one doesn't come with a board or any wedges to move around the board.

5.0 out of 5 stars Shocked with daughters’ knowledge
Color: Harry PotterStyle: SingleVerified PurchaseOur 9-year old daughter has a severe Potter obsession. She has seen all the movies several times over, has read the books and collects Potter-stuff. She recently stumbled upon this Potter trivia game at the Harry Potter experience, where it was obviously sold at a big premium. So we urged her some patience and got her this set from Amazon as a gift to take along on holiday.
It is pretty much a standard Trivial Pursuit set that can be used with the regular boxed game board - that obviously isn’t included given the size and shape of the box. It does however include its own die and strangely enough an extra circle shaped wedge container that can hold 6 non-included triangular trivia reward wedges - though there is no reference to it in the brief instructions.
As such the game can be played alone, or with a few other players without the standard board - where you have to collect 6 cards to win the game.
Alternatively it can be blended in with the standard Trivial Pursuit game and board - which we have done since, where the rest of us get non-Potter muggle questions and where our daughter works through the Potter cards when its her turn (which is not much fun given her expertise). There is a card with brief instructions as well. The only thing that really differentiates this set from the standard trivial pursuit set are of course the questions and the Potter logo on the box and 100 question cards.
The age advise is +12 years but our 9-year old is delighted and reads/plays it very well. However these questions are hard and detailed! I’ve seen each of the movies several times though I haven’t read the books - but I only occasionally manage to answer a question correctly. The point is that there are many questions about specific spells, curses characters and artefacts with, as you can expect, very obscure names. You will need to know these to have some chance of winning.
In fact, while I expected our daughter to have good knowledge about the source material I was stunned about the detailed level of her knowledge. Personally I do have a huge amount of useless knowledge after four decades of a Star Wars fascination but the knowledge that my daughter already gathered about Harry Potter might well go beyond this. She rarely fails to answer a question. And I suspect she will start to learn each question and answer by heart to fill in her blanks.
Anyway this set is highly recommended to any Potter fan, it makes a great gift that they will appreciate very much.

5.0 out of 5 stars Divertente!
