      The game itself, the board and the pieces are all great. I would much prefer that the set came with higher quality damage markers and not just cardboard punch outs. You also need far more dice than are included if you want to play efficiently. This is a very long game as it is so these small things do make a difference over time.

      Axis and Allies 1941 is by far the best of the A&A series. It's relatively simple game play and manageable time length makes is much easier to pull out and play on a regular bases. Other versions are either to complex or much to long for regular game play and are difficult to introduce to new players. This version overcomes theses challenges with flying colors. My only cons would be that it slightly favors the Axis powers, but this is easily fixed by adding additional Allied units at the start of the game. Also, the Russians have few strategic choices to make on their turn, making them boring to play. I would recommend playing with four players with the two Allied players sharing Russia.
