As Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and more, you've been given a challenge to complete! You'll need to travel amongst different locations throughout Ponyville, get new cards to improve your deck, complete tasks for resources, and overcome obstacles. Watch out - if you take too long, clouds will build up over time and cause you to suffer setbacks in your quest. The ponies will have to work together using teamwork and friendship to win the game! Includes: 6 Standees, Assorted punchboard tokens, 45 Sugar Cubes, and over 130 cards (including character, adventure, starter, and challenge cards!). This is a cooperative Deck-Building Game for 1-4 Players, 45-90 minutes playing time. For ages 14+. The age rating on this game speaks to the age an individual can independently cultivate a quality, as-intended experience for themselves playing the game. It's not to say that younger kids can't play, quite the contrary. It's just suggested that they have a 14+ person helping them play to ensure they have a quality experience.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 5, 2023I play this mostly solo and occasionally with my husband. The game is not hard to play, but there are better deck building games. I personally would rather play Harry Potter Hogwarts Battle or the Toy Story version. This game is also not super thematic. The theme in Harry Potter is stronger.
Dominion deck builder is a better game, but I prefer this theme more. If playing with kids, Abandon All Artichokes is an easier and shorter game to play and learn.
I like that you can adjust the game to make it easier or harder. My preferred way to play is to divide the whole deck by the number of situation cards and shuffle in one situation card per divided part then stack the whole deck together. You can add more hurdles, but I found that it really is the situation cards that has the biggest influence on whether or not I win.
I found I had a difficult time keeping track of resources so I purchased tokens for helping hooves, movement, and knowledge and I found this helps when turns get more complicated.
I would recommend this game if you or someone you know loves the IP. This is the only MLP board game that’s worth playing (unless you count My Little Scythe).
- Reviewed in the United States on February 22, 2025I really wanted to play this game. But I cannot because the instructions, which seem to be poorly translated from some Asian language (Thai, maybe? Maybe Malay?) do not provide any sort of comprehensible outline of how the game is supposed to be played.
I did the only thing I could, I took it to my local comic book shop and asked for help from card playing experts. But none of them could figure out what the game is or how it's supposed to be played! I wound up giving the game to my friend so he could toy with it but I haven't heard back from him in awhile so who knows how that's going?
It's a shame, I like My Little Pony and I thought this would be really fun because deck building games are all the rage right now. And it's not like nobody wanted to play the game with me! Several people tried, and failed. It makes me sad. But on the other hand I got this with a gift card my girlfriend gave me for Valentine's Day last year and it provides me with some interesting stories to tell around the gaming shop.
I would have to tell you to avoid this one. I'm sure it's fun to play if you can ever figure out these darned instructions, but like I said they're translated from some sort of Yugoslav base text that I simply do not understand. I even went online to the company's chat room and they couldn't tell me anything either! Maybe I got a bad copy, I don't know.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 3, 2024I bought this to play with my daughter, but the mechanics are actually pretty difficult for a children's game. There are about 6 different resources to manage, and it quickly becomes confusing keeping track of how many of each you can produce vs how many you need to progress the game. Would really like to see a simpler Pony card game for younger girls.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 7, 2025I bought my game at the local FLGS.
Fantasy Flight Games made Star Wars deckbuilding game, where you manage 2 resources.
In this My Little Pony game you manage 6 resources. It is quite a complicated and sophisticated game than FFG Star Wars game.
This game will please people wanting a more advanced game. Not really a game for young kids, but a game for gamers who like complex advanced games.
The management of resources is not very thematic, which is the core mechanic of the game, where you have a hand that allows resources, so you need to navigate exchanging resources to get the resources you need to solve problems. In a way that makes the game a bit abstract or more like a puzzle in deck building format.
I removes one star due to lack of thematic. But it has 4 due to how good it will please advanced players. Those who play will find that it poses an intellectual challenge with some luck involved in the cards.
The game is timed by "cloud" tokens that accumulate in each turn. For absolute newbies I would advice to play without clouds to get familiar with the game, without the action efficiency that these clouds demand. Clouds work like a clock for actions.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 4, 2022Got this to play with my daughter, who is a big fan of ponies. She absolutely loved the game, and it does indeed play really well. Plenty of challenge and teamwork required as you pick your character and engage in deck building fun to overcome a variety of challenges.
