Product Description

Space Cadets: Away Missions is a co-operative, man-to-man combat action game for 1-6 players set during the bygone Golden Age of science fiction. In this game, the third standalone game in the Space Cadets franchise of cooperative/team space-themed games, players take on the roles of adventurous human Rocketeers who explore UFOs, acquire Alien technology and fight hostile extraterrestrials. Space Cadets: Away Missions contains 20 scenarios linked in a campaign story. Each mission features different combinations of aliens on different spaceships, with hexagonal map tiles arranged to form flying saucers, rocket ships, space stations, etc. Cooperation, tactical planning and good dice are essential if the Rocketeers hope to overcome the relentless horde of little green men.

    I bought this boardgame after watching a review in miniaturemarket... I liked the rpg components and mechanics, the cooperative style (if anyone of the rocketeers is killed, the team looses the game)... even though you can play it solo too.I’m really happy with this one... it’s a family boardgame for sharing a good and enjoyable time with your friends, partners or whatever.The learning curve is not so complex (compared to my favorite boardgame of all times, Mage Knight), but once you have played several games, it’s really easy to fry all those aliens over the more than 20 missions of the rocket patrol adventures.If you like the thematic rpg boardgames, and also like first quality miniatures for painting, and creating a unique gaming experience, go and buy your copy.Have a nice day rocketeers!

      Game mechanics are outdated. It has one minor change in its combat mechanic that the designers, and other warped reviewers, think is genius. It is not. Missions are samey and game gets boring very fast. If it's very cheap, like $20, then buy it.

The rules aren't as clear as they could be, but when are they? If you like cooperative games and the pulp science-fiction genre, you'll love this game!
