Disney Lorcana Shimmering Skies Set to Hit Stores in August 2024

Disney Lorcana, by Ravensburger, marks its first year with the launch of its fifth set titled ‘Shimmering Skies’. This new set will debut on August 9th (small retailers may be the first to offer this new selection as mass retailers may not get the cards in stores till 23rd August 2024). So, get ready to nerd out as we reveal a selection of the new cards in this set and how to get your hands on this expansion pack.

Disney Lorcana TCG Overview

The game has been popular since its release in 2023 because it unites a collection of Disney stories. New Cards in Shimmering Skies

The creators and returning artists working on the new Shimmering Skies set have exceeded expectations. Some new cards we are most excited about include the ‘Healing Touch’, ‘Wreck-it-Ralph’, and ‘Rafiki’ cards. There are also two new Simba cards with exceptional artwork of Simba as a cub and an adult lion during his ‘lost prince’ phase.

OG Disney fans will love the new item card showing the moment ‘The Sword Released’ from the 1963 film ‘The Sword in the Stone’. Plus, don’t write off the new location card in the ‘Tropical Rainforest’ and the other additions that can switch up your gameplay and give you more ‘villain-based strategies’.

The ‘Healing Touch’ card depicts the wise leader of the trolls ‘Grand Pabbie’ using his magic power on a young Anna. The healing light shown in bright yellow auras around her head, makes this new action card stand out in the new Disney Lorcana ‘’Shimmering Skies’’ set. The healing energy of this card can be used in gameplay to remove 4 damage points from your chosen character. This is the first card in the world of Disney Lorcana to show Anna as a child and we think it’s a perfect addition to a Disney Lorcana set.
